Akazawa Ryosei

Mr. Akazawa Ryosei was appointed Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) on October 21, 2025.
He also assumes the positions of Minister in charge of the Response to the Economic Impact caused by the Nuclear Accident, Minister for Green Transformation, Minister in charge of Industrial Competitiveness, Minister in charge of International Exposition, and Minister of State for the Nuclear Damage Compensation and Decommissioning Facilitation Corporation.
Immediately prior to becoming METI Minister, Mr. Akazawa served as Minister in charge of Economic Revitalization and Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy. During his long career in public policy, Mr. Akazawa has served in several senior positions in the LDP and in government agencies. Notable roles in government agencies include State Minister of Finance, State Minister of the Cabinet Office and Parliamentary Secretary for Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Mr. Akazawa was first elected to public office in 2005, successfully winning reelection six times. He serves as a member of the House of Representatives representing Tottori Prefecture, 2nd Electoral District.
Prior to entering politics, Mr. Akazawa served as a public servant for about twenty years at Japan’s Ministry of Land of Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT) and the Ministry of Transport, the predecessor agency to MLIT.
Mr. Akazawa is a graduate of the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Law and received an MBA from Cornell University. He was born in Tokyo on December 18, 1960.


George Glass

Ambassador Glass was confirmed by the Senate to be U.S. Ambassador to Japan on April 8, 2025. He previously served as U.S. Ambassador to Portugal from 2017 to 2021 during the first Trump Administration. Glass is a prominent American businessman with expertise in finance, investment banking, and technology. Most recently, he served as an advisor to Reltio, a data management company based in Redwood Shores, California. Earlier he was a partner in MGG LLC, an enterprise that developed apartment complexes and rental homes.
Mr. Glass was Founder, President and Vice Chairman of Pacific Crest Securities in Portland, Oregon. He was also Director of Fixed Income and Institutional Sales, Gallagher Capital Corporation and U.S. Treasury and Agency Bond Trader for the Investment Division of U.S. National Bank in Portland. He has been recognized for contributions to higher education, in particular his roles as a Trustee to the University of Oregon and as a Trustee of the Oregon Health Sciences University.
Mr. Glass earned a B.S. from The University of Oregon. His honors include the Secretary of Defense Medal for Exceptional Public Service, the Sue M. Cobb Award for Exemplary Diplomatic Service, the Knighted Order of Prince Henry the Navigator presented by the President of Portugal Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, and the Knighted Order of Immaculate Conception of Vila Vicosa Portugal presented by the Duke of Braganca.

Doug Burgum is the 55th Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
Raised in Arthur, North Dakota, Burgum worked as a chimney sweep to help pay his way through North Dakota State University before earning an MBA from Stanford University. In 1983, Doug literally “bet the farm” to provide seed capital for a software startup called Great Plains.
Doug led Great Plains through a successful IPO and grew the company to over 2,000 employees before its acquisition by Microsoft. Burgum remained with Microsoft for six years as the Senior Vice President of Business Solutions.
Doug later co-founded Arthur Ventures and served as chairman for international software companies including Atlassian, SuccessFactors, and as a board member for Avalara.
In 2016, Burgum was elected to serve as North Dakota’s 33rd Governor. In 2020, he was re-elected in a landslide. Under his leadership, North Dakota passed the largest tax cut in state history and dramatically reduced red tape.
As a testament to Burgum’s leadership, Forbes named him “America’s Best Entrepreneurial Governor.” During his tenure, North Dakota experienced the highest growth in real GDP and had the lowest unemployment rate in the country.
Burgum has three adult children. He is married to Kathryn Burgum, a nationally recognized advocate for addiction recovery.


Lee Zeldin

Lee Zeldin was sworn in as the 17th Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency on January 29, 2025.
Administrator Zeldin has dedicated much of his life to public service. He served 22 years in the military, having deployed to Iraq in 2006 while serving as a paratrooper with the Army’s Elite 82nd Airborne Division. The Administrator retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve in May 2025. He also served in the New York State Senate from 2011-2014 before getting elected to Congress representing New York’s 1st District from 2015-2023.
Under Administrator Zeldin’s leadership, the Trump EPA launched the Powering the Great American Comeback initiative, focusing the agency’s work on its core mission while heeding the economic demands of the American people. In just his first 9 months on the job, Administrator Zeldin traveled to all 50 states to hear directly from the residents, business owners, and elected officials most impacted by agency policies.
On the 100th, 200th, and 300th days of President Trump’s term in office, Zeldin released lists of the top 100 environmental wins during each 100-day period. These include binational agreements with Mexico to urgently and permanently end the Tijuana River Sewage Crisis, the completion of a historic wildfire cleanup in Los Angeles in under 30 days, increasing water quality standards for the Delaware River Basin, cracking down on the import of illegal pesticides, and advancing land remediation.
At the same time, the Trump EPA is pursuing the largest deregulatory effort in American history, while also pursuing operational savings at the agency that now adds up to roughly $30 billion.
At just 23, Lee became the youngest attorney in New York State at the time.
Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Lee and his wife Diana are proud parents to their twin daughters, Mikayla and Arianna.


Takehiko Matsuo

36 years of experience working for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) as well as Cabinet Office and other agencies.
Mr. Matsuo Takehiko has been serving as Vice Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) since July 2024. He leads all of METI’s international policy operations and represents the ministry in cross-border economic dialogues and negotiations.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Matsuo served as Director-General, Trade Policy Bureau in July 2021, responsible for METI's trade policy and international economic cooperation. He played a leading role in various policy agendas, including the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF), and WTO reform.
He served as Director General, National Space Policy Secretariat (NSPS) of the Cabinet Office (CAO) from 2019 to 2021. He played a leading role in creating the 4th Basic Plan on Space Policy of the Japanese, which was decided by the cabinet in June 2020, and establishing a new framework of relevant ministries to coordinate the government’s dual-use satellite technology R&D projects.
He served as Director General for Trade Policy at the Trade Policy Bureau of METI from 2017 to 2019. He made a contribution to finalizing Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement as the METI’s chief negotiator and advanced the G20 Osaka process as a co-chair of the Trade and Investment Working Group.
He served as Secretary General of the Electricity and Gas Market Surveillance Commission (EGC) since its establishment in September 2015 and led the secretariat to contribute to the successful and full liberalization of the electricity and gas retail markets in Japan, and to the launch of transmission and distribution charge system reform.
He also served as Director, General Policy Division of the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy and contributed to METI’s decision-making regarding the Energy Supply and Demand Outlook for 2030, which provided fundamental mid-term policy guidance for Japan’s energy policies.
From 2013 to 2014, as Director of the Budget and Accounts Division, he drafted METI’s budget.
Previously, he held the position of Counsellor of the Cabinet Secretariat from 2010 to 2012 and oversaw the Japanese government’s decision to start negotiations with TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement) member countries regarding joining the TPP. In addition, he supervised the adjustment of electricity supply and demand in eastern Japan in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011.
From 2008 to 2010 he served as Special Advisor to the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris and contributed to the IEA’s input to the G8 Summit in 2008.
Mr. Matsuo graduated from the University of Tokyo with a degree in law and from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University, with a master’s in international public policy.


John Jovanovic

John Jovanovic serves as President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United
States (EXIM). He brings extensive experience in financing, investing, and business building
across the energy and critical infrastructure sectors in both the private sector and U.S.
government. Mr. Jovanovic was nominated by the President and confirmed by the United States Senate to lead EXIM.
Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy OƯicer at Asplundh, the largest provider of
critical infrastructure services in North America, where he directed growth initiatives, digital
innovation, corporate development, and external affairs.
Previously, Mr. Jovanovic held senior roles in government service, including as Regional
Head and Managing Director for the Aegean and Western Balkans at the U.S. International
Development Finance Corporation (DFC), America’s development bank. At DFC, he
opened the agency’s first overseas oƯice, expanded U.S. financing alternatives in the
region, and helped implement the Washington Agreements on Economic Normalization
between Kosovo and Serbia.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Jovanovic was an Investment Director at Mercuria Energy Group,
where he managed investment and business-building activities across the Americas.
Mr. Jovanovic holds a degree in Politics from Princeton University and an MBA from the
University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, with a double major in Finance and
Management.
He is married and the father of four young children.

Thomas R. Hardy serves as the Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), performing the duties and responsibilities of the Agency’s Director. The Trump Administration appointed Mr. Hardy as USTDA’s Acting Director in January 2025, before he transitioned to his current role in November 2025. Mr. Hardy leads the Agency’s global efforts to advance high-quality infrastructure projects that strengthen U.S. national security, create export opportunities for U.S. goods and services, and support U.S. job creation. USTDA is the U.S. government’s first mover on critical infrastructure development abroad, advancing the shared strategic priorities of the United States and its overseas partners by deploying U.S. technological expertise.
He was previously appointed by President Trump to serve as USTDA’s Acting Director from 2017 to 2020, where he helped transform the Agency to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global environment. Mr. Hardy has also held multiple leadership positions at the Agency including Director of Policy and Program Management, Chief of Staff and Country Manager for the East Asia and sub-Saharan Africa regions.

Kyle Haustveit was confirmed as the 16th Assistant Secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy, now the Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office (HGEO), on September 18, 2025. In this role, Mr. Haustveit oversees HGEO and National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) programs, managing a $5 billion research and development portfolio in coal, oil, natural gas, and critical minerals, with the goal of advancing affordable and reliable energy solutions.
Prior to joining the Department of Energy, Mr. Haustveit served as a professional petroleum engineer in various technical and leadership roles at Devon Energy. A native of North Dakota, Mr. Haustveit represents a third generation of energy workers, maintaining strong connections to both the energy and agriculture sectors.
Throughout his career, he has led teams responsible for developing and commercializing trailblazing diagnostic techniques now utilized globally to optimize hydraulic fracturing and resource development. Subsequently, he directed an Energy Ventures team, focusing on investments in next-generation energy technologies, including geothermal, carbon utilization, lithium extraction, and produced water treatment.
Mr. Haustveit holds a petroleum engineering degree from Montana Tech and an MBA in energy from the University of Oklahoma.

Audrey Robertson was confirmed as Assistant Secretary of Energy (EERE) on October 23, 2025. She leads the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation, where she oversees one of the nation's largest energy R&D portfolios.
Prior to her appointment as Assistant Secretary, Ms. Robertson devoted her career to investment,
development, and innovation in the energy sector. Through her experiences in finance, corporate governance, and entrepreneurship, she developed a unique understanding of energy systems, infrastructure, and the complex interaction of companies, markets, banks, and governments in the production and distribution of energy.
Ms. Robertson began her career as an investment banker and worked in private equity for more than a decade, ultimately launching her own energy-focused private equity firm. In 2018, she
co-founded Franklin Mountain Energy, which would become one of the largest private oil and gas companies in the U.S. before its sale in 2025. In addition to co-founding the company, Ms. Robertson was the Chief Financial Officer and spearheaded the company’s growth and development of supporting infrastructure, such as roads, pipelines, and a rural microgrid.
She has served on the boards of multiple public and private energy companies and championed innovation in a range of energy technologies, including advanced sodium-ion batteries, refining, small modular nuclear, and next-generation geothermal. In 2021, she transformed an agricultural property outside Fort Collins, CO, into a 250-megawatt, utility-scale solar facility - the largest development of its kind in the state of Colorado.
Ms. Robertson graduated from Cornell University, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California. She is a former collegiate athlete, a certified public accountant (inactive), and a proud mother of two boys.

Beth Urbanas is the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Asia and the Americas at the Office of International Affairs in the U.S. Department of Energy. Ms. Urbanas is responsible for managing DOE’s bilateral and multilateral engagement with Asian and American countries. She is also responsible for DOE's work in several multilateral fora including the North American Leaders' Summit, the Energy and Climate Partnership of the Americas, and APEC. Ms. Urbanas has also been a lead negotiator in the USMCA and the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework focusing on Energy and Clean Economy. Prior to her current position, she was the Director for European and Eurasian Affairs at the Office of International Affairs in the U.S. Department of Energy. In this role she was also responsible for DOE's work in the G20 and G7.
Prior to working at DOE, Ms. Urbanas spent 14 years at the U.S. Treasury Department where she created and directed the Office of Environment and Energy. She was also instrumental in the design of the Climate Investment Funds and the Green Climate Fund, where she represented the United States on the boards. She also represented the United States and sat on the boards of several other international organizations including the Global Environment Facility, the Millennium Challenge Corporation and the World Bank. Ms. Urbanas represented the United States in the UNFCCC Climate Negotiations from 2007 to 2013 in the finance channel. She started her career in investment management on Wall Street and has also held a staff position at the World Bank. Ms. Urbanas has a B.A. from the College of William and Mary, an M.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, and an M.B.A from George Mason University.

Verinda Fike serves as the Regional Director for the Indo-Pacific for the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), where she is responsible for developing the agency’s strategy, infrastructure project preparation activities, and innovative public-private partnerships throughout the region.
Ms. Fike has traveled and worked in over 50 countries and has managed projects in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Ms. Fike began her career at USTDA in 2010, and previously served as Country Manager for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and for East Asia. Prior to joining USTDA, Ms. Fike consulted U.S. private sector and USAID overseas missions on creating effective public-private partnerships in developing and emerging economies. She also spent three years in China managing patient relations and marketing for several women’s health clinics in cooperation with Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Ms. Fike holds a Master’s of Science in Foreign Service and a Master’s of Public Policy from Georgetown University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in International Affairs and Mandarin Chinese.

Mr. Wilson joins EXIM from Devon Energy where he was the Vice President of Public, Government Affairs & Sustainability. In that role, he led efforts fostering relationships with federal, state, local, and
tribal officials as well as a broad array of regulatory bodies and outside stakeholders. Prior to the Devon Energy-WPX Energy merger in January of 2021, Wilson served as WPX’s Director of Government & Public Affairs. Prior to WPX, Mr. Wilson served as Vice President of Government and Public Affairs at SandRidge Energy initiating efforts to communicate broadly with the public on critical issues such as induced seismicity and water use in oil and gas operations. From 2010 to 2014, he served as the Vice President of Governmental Affairs for the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association (now the Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma.) He also served on the staff of U.S. Senator James M. Inhofe and led the One Oklahoma Coalition, a non-partisan advocacy campaign who defeated State Question 744. Wilson has served as Chairman of the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association and serves on the board of directors for the US-Mexico Foundation, the State Chamber of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Business Roundtable, and the Council for a Secure America. Previously he served as an Advisory Council Member of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute, as an Energy Security Fellow at Securing America’s Future Energy, Advisory Council Member of the Wilson Center’s Global Energy Center, an executive committee member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, Board Member of the Texas Oil & Gas Association, Board Member of Allied Arts of Oklahoma City, and as a trustee of the Bethany Public Schools Foundation.
Wilson holds a Master of Arts in Global Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, both from the University of Oklahoma.

The Hon. Madeleine King was sworn in as Federal Minister for Resources and Minister for Northern Australia on 1 June 2022, and reappointed to the role on 13 May 2025, following the re-election of the Albanese Government.
Minister King was first elected to Parliament in 2016, representing the seat of Brand on the outskirts of Perth, where she was born and grew up.
The seat encompasses the Cities of Rockingham and Kwinana and contains some of Perth’s heavy industries, including the HMAS Stirling naval base on Garden Island and the Kwinana Industrial Area. King’s father worked at the BP oil refinery in Kwinana and her mother and grandmother ran a drapery store in Rockingham.
Minister King was promoted to the shadow ministry in 2018 and has served as Shadow Minister for Consumer Affairs and Small Business, Shadow Minister for Trade and Shadow Minister for Resources.
Before entering parliament Minister King held senior executive roles at The University of Western Australia and served as the inaugural Chief Operating Officer at the Perth USAsia Centre.
As a Shadow Minister, a former political adviser and through Parliamentary committee work, she was a regular visitor to Northern Australia and has been deeply engaged in issues surrounding development in the north.
Minister King has a strong interest in ensuring the benefits of economic development are shared fairly and create opportunities for all segments of Australian society.
Minister King has a law degree from the University of Western Australia in Perth.
She is also a keen hockey enthusiast, and was a member of the WA Women’s Masters Hockey Team from 2012 to 2015.

Iqbal Hassan Mahmood, MP, is the Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of
Bangladesh. He previously served as the State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources
from 2005 to 2006. A four-time Member of Parliament, he has played a significant role in shaping
Bangladesh’s industrial and policy landscape.
He earned both his BA and MA degrees from the University of Dhaka. Over the course of his
career, he has combined leadership in politics, governance, and industry. He served as the
Director of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and has been actively involved in
national policymaking through his roles in the Police Commission of Bangladesh and the National
Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
A pioneer in Bangladesh’s export sector and an accomplished business leader, Mr. Mahmood has
represented the country in numerous international forums since 1976, promoting Bangladesh’s
export-oriented industries and strengthening its economic engagement with global markets. His
career reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing Bangladesh’s industrial growth, energy
security, and overall national development.

Bahlil Lahadalia was born in North Maluku on August 7, 1976. In government service, he has held several strategic positions under two different presidential administrations. During the 2019–2024 period under the administration of President JokoWidodo, he served as the Minister of Investment/Chairman of the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) until August 19, 2024, after which he was inaugurated as the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources. Under the administration of President Prabowo Subianto, he was reappointed and inaugurated once again as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources on October 21, 2024. Within President Prabowo Subianto’s cabinet, he also serves as the Chairman of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Downstreaming and National Energy Security. For his dedication and contributions, on August 25, 2025, Bahlil was awarded the Bintang Mahaputra Adipurna, one of Indonesia’s highest state decorations, by President Prabowo Subianto. The award was granted in recognition of his exceptional achievements in the fields of energy and investment, particularly in advancing mineral downstreaming policies, strengthening strategic investments, and fostering the development of new and renewable energy. Beyond his governmental roles, Bahlil is also active in politics and various organizations. In organizational activities, he joined the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) in 2003, starting from the district level and progressing to the national leadership. His tenure culminated in 2015 when he was elected Chairman of HIPMI for the 2015–2019 term, during which he led trade delegations to Japan (2016) and Europe (2018). In his political career, he has served as Chairman of the Golkar Party since August 21, 2024. Most recently, on September 28, 2025, he was entrusted to serve as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the World Mosque Youth. As an entrepreneur, Bahlil founded PT Rifa Capital, which currently oversees 10 subsidiary companies operating in various sectors, leveraging Papua’s abundant natural resources.

Dr Tan See Leng has served as Singapore's Minister for Manpower since May 2021. In May 2025, he was concurrently appointed Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology in the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Prior to this, Dr Tan was Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office (July 2020 – May 2021), Second Minister for Manpower (July 2020 – May 2021), and Second Minister for Trade and Industry (May 2020 – May 2025). As Minister for Manpower, Dr Tan led efforts to build a more inclusive and resilient workforce. He championed the expansion of the Progressive Wage Model to uplift lower-wage workers, introduced stronger protections for platform workers, and advocated for more progressive and inclusive workplaces through the landmark Workplace Fairness Act. He also transformed the migrant worker landscape by raising housing standards, improving healthcare access, and supporting their overall well being. At the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Dr Tan led efforts to stabilise electricity supply during the global energy crunch, such as setting up our first Standby Liquefied Natural Gas Facility. He also championed the development of alternative low-carbon energy sources for Singapore, including solar, hydrogen, and electricity imports from the region. Before entering politics, Dr Tan was the Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of IHH HealthCare Berhad (2014 – 2019), where he led the group to double its revenue from RM 6 billion to RM 12 billion, positioning it as one of Asia’s largest healthcare networks. He was also Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Parkway Pantai Limited (2010 – 2019), during which the group achieved a landmark listing, raising USD 2.1 billion in 2012. Early in his career, Dr Tan founded Healthway Medical Group and was its Chief Executive Officer from 1993 to 2002. Under his leadership, Healthway expanded to 40 locations and achieved a turnover of S$20 million, establishing itself as Singapore’s second-largest private primary healthcare provider. Dr Tan’s extensive experience in business and healthcare continues to shape his leadership in public service.

Vice Admiral Giovanni Carlo J Bacordo (Retired) was appointed as Undersecretary of the Department of Energy last September 15, 2022.
Prior his appointment, Undersecretary Bacordo served as the 38th Flag Officer-In Command of the Philippine Navy.
He was a naval defense professional with 38 years of experience in command and leadership, both aboardship and ashore. His surface warfare expertise and leadership roles in key positions throughout his military career led him to consistently pursue and instigate vital acquisitions for the Navy’s modernization program and transformation initiatives.

Born in 1976, Deputy Minister Long holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics of Public Administrations and International Organizations from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy), and a PhD in Economics of Public Administrations and Public Enterprises from Rome University 2 "Tor Vergata" (Rome, Italy). He further honed his strategic and leadership
skills through executive programs at Harvard Kennedy School, Oxford University’s Said Business School, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, and Executive education on Global Leadership in Princeton University. Deputy Minister Long’s diplomatic career began in 1999 when he joined Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. By June of that year, he was appointed Third Secretary at Vietnam’s Embassy in Rome, where he advanced Vietnam’s
international interests. In 2005, he was seconded to the National Commission responsible for organizing the 2006 Asia-Pacific Economic Forum (APEC) Summit. He became Deputy Director-General at the Directorate-General for Europe in 2008. In 2012, he was appointed Vietnam’s Ambassador to Italy and concurrently served as Ambassador to the Republic of Malta, Republic of Cyprus, Republic of San Marino, as well as Permanent Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) and the World Food Program (WFP). In 2016, he became Director-General of the Department General of Foreign Affairs for Provinces, and from 2021, he served as Ambassador to the UK and Ireland before assuming his current role as Deputy
Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) in June 2024. Deputy Minister Long has been recognized nationally and internationally, receiving the Third Grade Order of Labor of Vietnam, awarded the First Grade “Ambassador” Ranking and several awards from the Prime Minister of Vietnam, as well as being named a "Young Global Leader" by the World Economic Forum and honored with Italy’s Order of Merit "Grand Officer." Deputy Minister Nguyễn Hoàng Long is responsible for overseeing the energy sector and managing economic and trade relations with the Americas at MOIT.

Jonathan Goh Kok Chye is the Director for External Relations at the Energy
Market Authority of Singapore (EMA), a statutory board under the Ministry of
Trade and Industry. Jonathan is the Senior Official on Energy at ASEAN,
APEC and G20 meetings and is a member of the ASEAN Centre for Energy
Governing Council. Jonathan oversees the organisation of the annual Singapore
International Energy Week (SIEW), a premier global energy event.
Prior to EMA, Jonathan worked at the Public Service Division of the Prime
Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Civil Service College. He
also served as First Secretary (Political) in Tokyo, Consul (Political) in Hong
Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions (SAR) and Assistant Director
in Jakarta.
Jonathan read economics at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo and has a Master
of Science in Communication Management at Singapore Management
University. He was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) (2016)
and the Long Service Medal (2023).
